This Privacy Policy explains how we at Leslie Castle Guesthouse use any personal information we collect about you it also highlights the Booking Policy.

What information we collect about you

When you make a booking with us we collect the names of all the guests who will be staying, the Home address, email address and telephone number of the person making the booking. We also collect a debit or credit card number to take the deposit equal to the first night of your stay.

How we use the information we hold on you

Your home address is used as part of the card payment processing to validate the card.

Your email address will be used to send you confirmation of the booking and an email with more details on how to find us and other information you may find useful for your stay.

We also send you an additional email checking everything was ok with your stay and offering you ways to stay in contact with us by social media or email if you choose to do so.

We will not use your telephone number to contact you unless it is for an emergency and/or we have been unable to contact you by email.

How is your data stored

All of the personal and debit/credit card data you supply us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, Freetobook.

Neither we nor Freetobook will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.

Guest Registration

We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests. We do this by asking you to complete a registration form on arrival.

For commonwealth guests;

  • Name and nationality

For non commonwealth guests;

  • Name, nationality, passport number, address of next destination

These forms are kept safely digitally. We are required to keep these registration forms for a year and show them to a police officer if they request to see them and we will destroy these forms 12 months after your stay.

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log  information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. Booking Policies

Bookings are all made and managed through a third party system, FreetoBook. 

Payments by cash, cheque, bacs, paypal, and the following cards:
Visa Debit / Delta, Visa Credit, Maestro / Switch, Mastercard – no charge.

A deposit equal to the first nights stay is required.
The deposit will be refunded according to the cancellation conditions.
Full booking balance must be paid 3 days before arrival.

If the booking is cancelled less than 3 days before arrival then a charge equal to the first night of the stay will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 3 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to £30 per booking will be made.

In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

Parking for all guests is available on site and is free of charge.  Pets are not allowed.  Wireless internet is available and is free of charge.  Smoking is only allowed in some of the open air areas.

The standard room price includes the cost of breakfast.  Dinner can be added for a supplemental price.

Infants under 3 are welcome and can share existing bedding at the full adult rate.  Cots are available at the guest house at an additional cost per night.

Children aged between 3 and 14 are welcome and can stay at the normal adult rate. Guests older than 14 are subject to the full adult rates.

Guests must check in between 16:00 and 21:00 and check out between 9:00 and 11:00.

Marketing

We would like to stay in touch with you to send information about the B&B, any special offers we may have or local events. We would like to send occasional emails ( normally no more than one or two a year )  to people on our distribution list. The distribution list is managed by a secure third party, Mailchimp.
